Did you know that sex workers have our own Pride Day on September 14th? ESWA extends the celebration into the following week with our online event under the theme of Loud, Proud & Hu$tling!
Join us on September 16th as we come together to celebrate a day dedicated to the diversity, strength and resilience of the global sex worker community. To mark this day, ESWA is holding a panel which will spotlight sex workers’ rights
activists who face multiple layers of marginalisation. Despite stigma and discrimination, these powerful sex workers organise, advocate and work tirelessly to improve the conditions of their communities.
Sex workers from all walks of life navigate unique challenges. From systemic discrimination to criminalisation and stigma, their experiences are often compounded by other intersecting forms of oppression. Despite these obstacles, the sex worker community has consistently demonstrated extraordinary resilience and strength, marching toward justice and dignity.

This event will provide a platform for voices from within the sex worker community, offering an opportunity to hear directly from those who continue to challenge stigma, demand rights and work toward a better future for all. Join us in celebrating the vibrant diversity of this community, learning about the challenges they face, and engaging in a conversation about how we can all stand in solidarity with sex workers in their fight for rights and recognition.
