Deadline Extended! Join the SW Policy & Resource Knowledge (SPARK) Fellowship!

Deadline Extended! Send your applications to [email protected] until September 25th 2024.

ESWA is pleased to announce the launch of its first fellowship: the SPARK Programme (SW Policy Advancement & Resource Knowledge).

This initiative seeks to select 10 SW advocate Fellows who experience intersectional forms of marginalisation. The Fellows will participate in online training sessions that will be organised once every two weeks and focused on diverse issues related to SWs' rights. By the end of the fellowship, participants will be better equipped to engage in national and EU policy discussions, advocating for the human rights of SWs including access to health. Fellows will also attend a two-day convening to share experiences and knowledge, as well as receive in-depth capacity building from policy experts at an event at the EU Parliament. Themes to be explored include access to healthcare, the impact of legal frameworks and EU policy making, digitalisation and digital rights, harm reduction, and more.

The fellowship is open to all SW members of an ESWA member organisation. Each member organisation may nominate one SW for participation.

ESWA will organise a total of five two-hour online sessions every other Wednesdays, from 18:00 to 20:00 CET.

A 500-euro stipend will be provided upon completing at least 80% of the programme.

Member organisations are encouraged to invite a SW from their group to submit an A4 letter of interest, outlining their relevant background in sex work activism and explaining their motivation for applying to this Fellowship. This should be sent to [email protected]

We especially encourage applications from Fellows who face intersectional forms of marginalisation and/or are living with HIV.

The deadline to receive the nomination letter is September 25th, 2024.

We look forward to your participation and can't wait to embark on this journey together!
