Terms of Injustice: Social media accountability and sex work. Join us for the online launch of ESWA’s new report on Social Media Platform Accountability!
How can we combat the growing discrimination against sex workers on social media?
What steps can social media platforms, policymakers, and civil society take to ensure more inclusive and equitable policies that lead to safer online spaces for all? The European Sex Workers’ Rights Alliance (ESWA) is excited to launch our latest report, building on our ongoing work to challenge censorship, surveillance, and discrimination in digital spaces. This report moves beyond problem identification to solution-building, presenting concrete strategies for increasing platform accountability under the EU Digital Services Act and beyond.
What to expect? A panel discussion featuring sex workers and digital rights experts, sharing lived experiences and insights on platform discrimination and governance.
A presentation of our key research findings, offering actionable recommendations for policymakers, platforms, and advocates.
A space to jointly discuss how we can collectively push for fairer, more transparent, and inclusive digital policies.
This research is essential not just for sex workers but for LGBTQIA+ communities, racialised and Indigenous groups, human rights defenders, and all those affected by restrictive content moderation policies.
